Tomoyo and I are well rested now xD. We took a week off to recover from the exhaustion that is a convention lol. Tomoyo had a booth this year so I spent most of my time manning the booth ^^;;. Tomoyo was very busy this year as she had a booth, she was the director of the manga library, and had a Lolita tea party to do. Lolita Fashion Show

We had something different this year at the convention, a Lolita Fashion Show if you couldn’t tell xD. I thought it went really well and it was great in my opinion. The girls were cute and so were their outfits. I personally don’t know much about lolita even though I really like the dresses:P, so I was a big surprise to me to learn about all the different styles of lolita. Hey everyone, it’s nice to be back and rested ^^. This year’s Kawaii Kon wiped me out, due to the amount of running around the kon that I did to make sure that it ran smoothly. I believe I woke up at least by 8 in the morning then worked for the kon from 10 am-12 pm . Too busy even to take pictures of the cosplayers that attended the kon, so I’m going to take pics from other people and post them here, I will give them credit of course ^^.

Kawaii Kon Experience

Hey everyone, just wanted to talk about my volunteer experience at Kawaii Kon. “OMG snore,” ya I know but it might help you out if you volunteer at a anime con.

= Plan out your schedule accordingly with the schedule for you con as you might miss something you really want to see.

= Bring an extra bag/bagpack to hold your stuff if you don’t have access to a car like I did.

= Check out every location. I totally missed out on $10 figures that usually goes for $50-$70 from figure companies like Good Smile just because I didn’t think any dealer was in the table top gaming room, you know Yu-gi-oh, magic, and those other games, that was a real huge disappointment to me.

= Try to bargain with the dealers if you can, especially on the last few hours of the con as you never know what kind of good deals you can get for they want to get rid of their inventory.

= Do what you have to do for your own department and don’t make other departments do your job as it makes people angry.

= Don’t just sit around unless you truly have nothing else to do.

= Do not just stand around if you are looking for a certain person, go out and look unless you have to stay.

= Get to know all the locations at the con as many con goers will go around asking where everything is. On that note, get a map and a schedule of events so you know what and where everything is.

= Do not touch con goers, even if its to ask them to move as this might count as assault.

= Communication is key for a great con.

= Stay hydrated and don’t go hungry.

= Get to know all the staffers if you can, at least those who work in your department.

= Don’t forget to thank those who help you along the way.

= Most of all, have fun while you’re there, just because you are a staffer doesn’t mean you can’t have fun ^-^.

The dealers at Kawaii Kon are cool. They bring us stuff we would normally never find. I wish there was more though as I could have depleted more of my money. But I did buy stuff along with my brother and I will show you it now.

Check out all the little figures, especially the voodoo dolls on the front. Very cute and they bring good luck rather than bad.

Uchikoma in the house. Sadly the Tachikoma was taken before it could be bought.

The Tifa (Advent Children Version) pic a artist made that I picked up. Very sweet.

I’m a Taurus so I decided to pick this up. The eroness is a bonus as not all of the astrological signs looked like this.

Gah…this Blanc figure….I need to take better pictures and I shall as this was one of the crowning items bought at the Kon.

Cosplay….Cosplay…..COSPLAY!!!

WOOOOOT. Kawaii Kon has been over for a week now and I will miss it until next year but until then here are some cosplayers that came over during the Kon and I will present you with some of their pictures.

There were a ton of cosplayers this year, unfortunately I could not capture many due to work for the Kon. More next year.

L and Light hanging around, I actually saw a few of these duo’s around. Next year it will be Near, Light, and L.

O speak of the devil (reference to Light). Hear they are, I like the red eyes effect on the Light character but I don’t know if that was the camera or intentional.

Everyone needs the ANBU Black Ops to watch out for their con.

Who says it has to be anime related, these Star War characters were awesome to see, too bad there was no Darth Vadar as that would complete the set. If Danny Choo sees this , come down to Kawaii Kon next year with your Darth Vadar outfit to complete the set please, you will definitely enjoy the Kon, your men are ready for you ^-^.

As with any con, you will have your fights. Let’s hope it ended peacefully, think of the damage they would cause.

Drum Roll Please…dumm, dumm, dumm…it’s the VIC. He does the voice acting for many animes, his most famous role is for the English version of Edward Elric from Full Metal Alchemist. Vic is tall so not exactly comparable to Ed, but Vic is very cool to be around with. He even had dinner with the local Mini Skirt Army down here, very cool of him to do. His appearance probably brought a lot of attendees down to visit and he never disappoints.

Here’s a few images from the artist alley. The first being a paper which everyone could draw on. Might find a few artists becoming “famous” manga/anime artists later, never know.
