Spongebob, kami (god) of the undersea world

The title for the video is Deathsponge Notepants, which is a parody on Death Note for those who don’t know ^^. Spongebob being Light (Raito) and the Flying Dutchman (the green ghost) is Ryuk. This clip shows “Spongebob” deciding to be the person who restores order in the world with the “Dutchman’s” death notebook, originally found at Japanprobe. I thought it was pretty funny so I thought I would share it with you ^^.

Spongebob is a popular cartoon here in the US, it centers around a “sponge” (who looks like a dish washing sponge) called Spongebob Squarepants who lives under the sea in a place called Bikini Bottom where many sea creatures live from the maniacal “Plankton” to whales named Pearl. Spongebob is a fry cook for a place called Krusty Krab, where he works with his penny-pinching boss Mr. Krabs and his disgruntled co-worker, Squidward (who looks more like an octopus in my opinion). It’s a comedy show that is a bit childish but it’s actually hilarious at times. Read on for some of the more hilarious moments.

Woah…Misa Misa

I was online looking at some websites, clicking some links when I came to a cosplayer blog. I totally freaked out when I saw the cosplayer, her name is Kipi, for she looked exactly (not 100% but darn close to it) like Misa from Death Note. This was just a shocker to me as she had the look, clothes, and even the pose.

I was just awed by her cospaly of Misa, her other pics are good too but not as well done as these. You can check out the rest of the pics on her blog, Still, its in Japanese but the pics are high resolution and awesome. She’s pretty cute too ^-^.

This is just scary, its like seeing Misa in real life. I believe its that good.

Death Note….Juicy

Wow, the latest Death Note episodes are really intense and suspensful. Not going to spoil it for you but its well thought out and has constant twists. Episode 28 and 29 are way over my head and I would have never thought some of the events would happen. Watch and see.

WOOOOOT. Kawaii Kon has been over for a week now and I will miss it until next year but until then here are some cosplayers that came over during the Kon and I will present you with some of their pictures.

There were a ton of cosplayers this year, unfortunately I could not capture many due to work for the Kon. More next year.

L and Light hanging around, I actually saw a few of these duo’s around. Next year it will be Near, Light, and L.

O speak of the devil (reference to Light). Hear they are, I like the red eyes effect on the Light character but I don’t know if that was the camera or intentional.

Who says it has to be anime related, these Star War characters were awesome to see, too bad there was no Darth Vadar as that would complete the set. If Danny Choo sees this , come down to Kawaii Kon next year with your Darth Vadar outfit to complete the set please, you will definitely enjoy the Kon, your men are ready for you ^-^.

Drum Roll Please…dumm, dumm, dumm…it’s the VIC. He does the voice acting for many animes, his most famous role is for the English version of Edward Elric from Full Metal Alchemist. Vic is tall so not exactly comparable to Ed, but Vic is very cool to be around with. He even had dinner with the local Mini Skirt Army down here, very cool of him to do. His appearance probably brought a lot of attendees down to visit and he never disappoints.

Here is another Haruhi and Death Note mix. It actually looks like Death Note in Haruhi. I’m guessing, for there is no subtitles so I do not understand what is going on. But look at it…total Death Note implications in it. If I didn’t know better, I swear this is Death Note, thats how good this vid is.

Haruhi Gone Death Note

This is an awesome vid. It combines Melancholy of Haruhi and Death Note in it. The creator did a very good job of putting Haruhi characters instead of Death Note characters in the second opening theme song for Death Note. You can see the difference with the original being in the lower left hand corner. I liked how Kyon’s little sister was doing Ryuk’s “Happy Apple” dance, that was hilarious. Warning there is a swear word so ya.

Mmmm…apples are how you say…juicy (quote Ryuk the shinigami[death god]). Ya, apples are juicy, but lets get down to the next anime review, DEATH NOTE. What if you wanted kill anyone and all you have to do is write their name in a notebook? But not just any notebook, a “Death Note” (“note” is Japanese for notebook)and if you felt lazy and don’t want to write the details of their death, they would just die of a heart attack.

That is the power Light Yagami (pronounced Raito Yagami in Japanese, there in no “L” in the Japanese language so to speak but replaced with an R when needed) has and with his death god acquaintance, Ryuk (apples are his favorite human world food), he goes around killing anyone he deems “evil” in the name of “justice,” which is his own sense of justice, in order to create a pure world with no evil with him reigning as a god over the people.

But there are people who wish to stop this “cleansing” including a person deemed “L”, a person who is able to solve the hardest cases the world over. Light, deemed “Kira” by the people of the world (the name looks like Killa doesn’t it (remember the “L” rule in Japan), which if you don’t know is someone who has killed or looks like they would kill someone as seen in this U.S. persons point of view), is always toe to toe with “L” in a constant struggle to see who can identify each other first, as both have never revealed their faces to the public.

This anime is quite interesting to watch and always leaves you in suspense for the next episode. What’s amazing is this anime is actually legal to download according to Viz entertainment, that has the rights to show it in America later, while its still being shown in Japan. That’s right..those who are afraid of downloading from the internet rejoice (well if you live in America anyways I believe), you can download it and there is nothing wrong with it. A couple sites I found include deathgod.org for the anime and if you are still afraid well you can watch it online on this site deathnote.tv.

I recommend this anime to watch, its one of the most interesting ones I have ever seen. Another interesting thing is in one of their opening theme songs, which is totally hardcore heavy metal, swears in it by saying the F word. I don’t know if this was intentional as I have seen many misused English words in Japanese culture but it adds to the song and making it excellent.

I also like how “L” likes sweets so much as I have seen him eat something sweet like strawberry shortcake (possibly his favorite?), cookies, éclairs, popsicles, etc. in practically every episode “he” is in that is accompanied by tea with a ton of sugar cubes in it (once he overfilled his cup with it that he created a mini sugar cube mountain from a cup full of tea).
