Youtube Videos of Interest 1

I’m sure everyone who goes online watches videos online, I am no exception. As such, I am announcing that this will be the first official “Youtube Videos of Interest” segment which will focus on Japan and will go into different parts of Japan like food, games, culture, nature, Japan only products, and more. Think of it as a glimpse into Japan without having to actually travel there lol.

First up is Cola Shock. It’s a alcoholic drink which I assume to taste like cola. So you get the buzz of alcohol and the taste of cola. It is made by the Japanese company Kirin which primarily sells alcohol and this drink is not offered outside of Japan. This is good for people who don’t like the strong taste of alcohol and would usually put a soft drink like cola, sprite, etc to soften the strong taste. Though the fact that is a cola makes me wonder if kids would be interested in drinking it lol, hopefully not ^^;;.

Next up is a cheerleader in Japan. What’s so special about that you ask? Well this cheerleader “cheers” in Shinjuku and she does it to cheer-on the salary men and salary women who are on their way to work. Her name is Aya Sato and she used to be a salary woman but quit and now does this in the morning. First off, I applaud her. She is encouraging people and maybe it lifts their spirits a bit from the possible foreboding work day. Second, she must be freezing considering it’s pretty cold in Japan now and all she’s wearing a sleeveless top and a skirt, though I guess all that cheering keeps her pretty warm. I wonder if she has a side job so that she can do this every morning lol. She is cute though ^^.

Lastly we have sushi pizza. This is fairly weird concept to Japanese people. It’s weird to me too ^^;;. But it is a very popular dish in America. We have a local place as well that serves sushi pizza; I’ve never tried it (though I will later xD) but Tomoyo has and she thinks its delicious :9. Though the sushi pizza in the video looks more tasty than the one served locally lol, but I need to taste it myself to be sure ^^;;. Based on the video, it looks pretty easy to make. Maybe something you can bring to a party for a unique party food, pretty sure you will get questions and known as a pretty exotic chef xD. The price looks pretty decent at 1035 yen with maguro and tobiko on top.

All videos above were found on Japan Probe.

Shokudo’s sushi pizza is delicious! I think they make theirs slightly differently, though. Shokudo’s rice is on top of nori, I believe.

I’ve tried some homemade sushi pizza before, it’s actually not too bad. One good thing + another good thing = an awesome thing :)

the cheerleader girl needs to dance to some Ouendan! What she’s doing is very cool, and it keeps her in good shape too!

Maybe she quit because she won the lotto or something? Or maybe she’s hoping the publicity she will get from doing this would land her some good opportunities?

Aw the videos were removed due to terms of use violation, go failtube ~.~ Well I’ve read Cola Shock sounds a bit odd, I’m not much for alcohol so I doubt I’d try it. Sushi pizza sounds interesting but I’ll pass XD

@Persocom: Sorry you couldn’t have seen it :( . Youtube does remove their copyrighted material pretty quickly. Haha, well you never know how they taste. Maybe you can convince someone to order it and you take a nibble to try it out first lol.

I’ve never ever seen sushi pizza, I thought I was open minded when it comes to food, but that one definitely surprises me a bit. If it were placed in front of me I would probably try it, but I probably wouldn’t go out of my way to find a slice.

@lovelyduckie: It’s good to have an open mind :D . Ya, if I was wary of something I would try a nibble first, especially if I can get it anytime lol.
