This is pretty awesome. I watched Moyashimon the anime and they are currently making a drama version of it. Based on the characters, the small clip, and the CG of the microbes it looks like it will be a pretty good drama. I can’t wait until its release in July 2010.
Moyashimon was originally a manga created by Masayuki Ishikawa (石川 雅之) which was later adapted into an anime. Now it gets adapted into a live action drama, awesome (^o^)b.
Yuichi Nakamura (中村 優一) will play as Tadayasu Souemon Sawaki (沢木 惣右衛門 直保).
Natsuki Katō (加藤 夏希) will play as Haruka Hasegawa (長谷川 遥).
Chisun (ちすん) will play as Aoi Mutō (武藤 葵).
Kurosawa Toshio (黒沢年雄) will play as Keizō Itsuki (樹 慶蔵)
Haneyuri (はねゆり) will play as Hazuki Oikawa (及川 葉月).
Koji Nishida (笑い飯) will play as Kaoru Misato (美里 薫).
Akihiro Kimura (木村 明浩) will play as Takuma Kawahama (川浜 拓馬). Apparently he dresses like this in the manga because I’ve never seen him dressed like this in the anime xD.
Currently they do not have a Kei Yūki (結城 蛍). Kei have a few key points in the anime that make it turn out the way it did so I’m hoping they won’t cut him out.
I think all the people they chose to play as the characters match very well, especially Misato lol. Take a look at that beard xD.
I think Mutō is the cutest, she is “Miss Agriculture” after all xD.
Can’t wait until it’s debut in July ^^.

The microbes are cute, but I didn’t really find the anime very interesting. I guess it’s just not my kind of anime.

Maybe I’ll give this a try. Not really fond of dramas, but Moyashimon was really great.
I’m the same opinion as Nopy. Even if think that those microbes totally cute (as in the anime or the drama, it’s not my kind of shows.)
Still they did a good actors choice for the dramas

@Nopy: Not for everyone I guess but it was something I enjoyed watching. Learning about microbes and what they do was something I never knew before the anime lol.
@lu-k: Ya, I’m not too into dramas either. The only other one that I enjoyed watching was Nodame.
@Lylibellule: There’s a whole wall in a store dedicated to microbes that I found on my latest trip to Japan. I’ll be sharing it later ^^.
I saw the anime, and I’m reading the manga. I may watch this…I’m seriously considering it.

@lovelyduckie: Yep, the next step is the watch the drama, then after that you collect all the Moyashimon figures/gachapon lol.
The female actresses look very cute -^.^- I know live action manga/anime adaptations are always corny, but perhaps I can overlook it to watch the girls, lol. Oh and the microbes too
