If you are a gaijin or at least have non-Japanese ancestry in you and want to buy some land in Japan, beware as you might not get what you want. In Japan a person buys land and not a house, if there is a house on the land its tradition that you remove/destroy the old home and build a new one lol, crazy for us in America. Well apparently a Japanese speaking and “third generation” Brazilian Japanese man wished to buy land in the Fukuroi, Shizuoka Prefecture but was “denied” by the community due to his Brazilian ancestry. The community feared it would bring “crime” in the neighborhood lol. This guy is a “third generation” that has probably lived in Japan his whole life but due to “stereotypes” of crime ridden Brazilians he had to buy land somewhere else. I thought pre-judging was pretty bad with blood-types, but this takes it to a new level that should not happen. I live in a place full of diversity which also comes with stereotypes of different cultures, funny to see when it actually happens ^-^. But I do not judge a person until I know them, I don’t think I should be judging though lol. The article is from Asahi.com.

Are smelly kids a problem?
Looking at an article on Mainichi News, I found out that schools in Japan are having problems with smelly children. Due to the changing economy, the once life-long contract promoting companies are now hiring short-term so the people are now barely able to make ends meet. So adults are working countless hours that probably allow them to be home only a couple hours a day which leads kids without parents to tell them to bathe. So the children on the poor side that “stink up” the class are now being bullied due to their current living condition…quite sad. When I was in high school I too had a habit of not showering before I slept due to “random attacks of sleep”, but I always showered right before school. I still have the attacks but less often than before. But I feel bad that kids are being bullied just because they smell funny, it shouldn’t happen but it does.
Furi Kuri/Fooly Cooly (FLCL)
I loved this anime, it is at the top of my list as one of best animes I have ever seen. It follows a boy, Naota, who lived an everyday normal life with his brothers girlfriend, Mamimi, constantly bugging him. Everything is normal until a mysterious girl appears out of no where riding a yellow vespa (a scooter) and knocks Naota out with an electric guitar. Total randomness lol. The mystery girl is glad she didn’t kill him and gives him cpr which revives Naota that results in the mystery girl knocking him down with her guitar again. Not satisfied the mystery girl leaves, later that night Naota finds a strange “bump” sticking out of the middle of his forehead, luckily he can put it down with a bandage, incredible. Later we find the mystery girl eating at his house and has become the housekeeper due to her running Naota’s dad over ^o^. She introduces herself as Haruko and the antics ensue. Later Naota goes to find Mamimi where she eventually “overflows” (I never understood what that “truly” meant). All of a sudden the “bump” grows bigger on Naota’s head and eventually out pops a red robot and a gigantic robotic arm. The robot, with Naota caught on it, fights with arm and eventually beats the arm. Afterwards Haruko comes and knocks the robot out with her guitar which lead to the robot becoming docile and blue. The robot then starts to work as a housekeeper rather than Haruko at Naota’s home/bakery.
One thing I noticed is the voice acting in Japanese is more mellow than the American dub, I like the American dub more due to the tone matching the animation. This is an anime filled with laughs, action, intrigue, cosplay, and it has a storyline, surprising for it only has six episodes. It’s a A rating anime that all should watch and repeat watching.

The crazy guitar-wielding, vespa riding housekeeper Haruko. She is intense in the anime and one of my favorite female characters ^-^.
Canti, the nice blue robot, but watch out when he turns red; he is a fierce fighting machine.
Mamimi, the “overflowing girl” with her kitten, Takkun; incidentally that is also her nickname for Naota
To become “red” Canti, Naota must be swallowed by Canti and connect with him lol, weird isn’t it?
This is one of my favorite scenes, Naota’s grandpa is drowning (not really) in curry due to it being too spicy for him causing him to be knocked unconscious lol ^-^.
This is pretty unique, the manga was mixed into the anime in episodes one and six and believe me its pretty intense, it might have been the right choice to take ^-^.
Devil May Cry
Demons called Devil’s roam Earth’s plane and go around killing humans and eating them. The only way to stop them is to hire Devil Hunters. We find a devil hunter named Dante sitting at his desk and listening to his next job which is to guard an orphan child called Patty and transport her to an estate where she would inherit a fortune. As Dante travels by car and train, demons seem to pop out and target Patty but Dante quickly disposes of them through his skilled marksmanship with his pistol. Dante’s chooses an inn to rest for the night but turns out the innkeeper is a demon hired to kill Patty as well but Patty ditched Dante to go see her “mother” perform. Her “mother” turns out to be a demon who is about to kill Patty when Dante shoots her full of bullet holes. Demon’s pop out of everywhere and Dante drop kicks a couple before killing them all with his pistol and sword. Later at the estate we find the clock clicking 6:30 pm which is supposed to be the deadline for Patty to reach the estate to inherit the fortune, but a young woman is there as the clock rings and tells those in the estate that she is the real Patty and has come to claim the fortune. Unfortunately for her one of the men there bursts and reveals himself as a demon and is about to kill her but Dante busts in and cuts its arm off. Afterwards is an intense battle where Dante blasts holes in the demon and cuts him up with a final thrust up the demons body killing it. The “real” Patty says she will take care of the orphan who now goes to Dante’s hq called Devil May Cry.
It’s an anime now lol…if you play video games on the PS1-PS3 you have surely heard of Devil May Cry (DMC). Well now its an anime…we’ve gone far baby. Basically its about Dante a kick a$$ guy going around killing demons as his income lol. This guy is absolute cool and there are few that are cooler than him in my opinion. This anime is something that should probably not be watched by children due to the huge amount of blood, violence, and maybe some other stuff kiddies shouldn’t watch. I have never played the game but I will go and borrow it from my friends now. Only the first episode has been released so far that I have seen and it was full of action that I loved and a bit of comedy as well to balance it out. There was even a mini story to go along with it about Dante guarding a girl named Patty who needed to reach her father’s mansion to claim an inheritance that she just learned about. I won’t go much into it for it would spoil it for those who wish to watch. But I would watch it as it was pretty well done with the great art, voice acting, and action. I have high hopes for this anime.

School Rumble
Here is the School Rumble review I promised. School Rumble is a high school love and comedy anime that follows mainly Harima Kenji and Tenma Tsukamoto who both have fallen in love although Tenma loves a completely poker faced guy named Karasuma while Haraima has fallen for Tenma.
O it gets better lol, for as the story develops we also have more love interests including Tenma’s younger sister showing feelings for Harima as well as Tenma’s friend, Eri, also falling for Harima. Then you have a guy named Hanai falling for Yakumo and constantly tries to do as much as he can with her which is slightly hard due to all his “imagination” spilling out which Yakumo can see as well other people as well except for Harima. A bunch of love everywhere and comedy abundant. I swear I broke a rib (j/k) laughing from some of the scene’s like Tenma’s and Harima’s practice love confession and Harima’s nude martial arts practice that leads to a “embarrassing” scene.
This is a grade A anime that all should watch and enjoy. I just hope that they make a 3rd term/3rd season of this anime ^-^.
Here is Harima, big guy and shaved lol. In the first season he has a beard and mustache, looks better shaved…not the hair area though…watch the anime and you will know what I’m talking about.

Another friend of Tenma, she easily falls for Harima after all his ummm…”acts” that draw her closer to him, but I rather have a Yakumo and Harima combo. She reminds me of Asuka from Evangalion

School Rumble songs ^-^
I decided to talk about School Rumble as the next anime review, but due to time constraints I will have to do it tomorrow so I looked up the openings of the anime and found the actual music video of the second seasons opening theme song which I thought was kind of interesting.
It kind of reflects the anime with Harima being the guy that beats up everyone but for some reason some otaku take him down…that was just sad. Plus the girl, who is Ami Tokito, picks up the yakisoba bread (I tried it and its not bad actually ^-^) and goes away with it which was pretty messed up.

This is the real music video for “Onna no Ko♥Otoko no Ko (オンナのコ♥オトコのコ; Girls♥Boys)” done by Yuko Ogura which I thought was pretty kawaii. I mean look at her and how she just walks around all happy and cute like lol. I love the song too so ya…its a boost lol. We are silly silly boys lol, who are just silly, girls you must step up to admit your feelings too us because we are too silly. Thanks to Wannabefansubs for all the subbing they did for the series. This video was totally random with all the guys in wigs and the two possibly “polish” kids. Well shes cute so the video is cute lol.

Train Simulation….What a Stimulation
I was over at JapanSugoi when I checked out an article and link to play a train simulation game online. Now this actually came to be from past train games on different consoles, pcs, and even arcade. Arcade lol, nothing like putting in money to drive a train lol. Well anyways…there are “train otaku” that made this into a game genre. I tried out the game, my favorite course being Inokashira Line Simulation 2, and I must say ummm….interesting. It’s not your everyday shoot’em up, beat them down, sweet talk, or sexy game. Just driving a train which apparently I can’t do lol as I missed the destined platform or ran out of time which probably made my customers very angry. But eventually I got the hang of it. This is in driver mode where you can use a mouse or your up and down buttons to control the stick which controls the speed of the train. I really liked pressing the space bar button to make the train blast its horn lol, made me feel manly. So the point is to stop at the end of the platform and get customers to the next platform where more people will board, I know it sounds boring but its a challenge just to get it perfect which took up my precious five minutes to understand lol. So its a challenge and the graphics aren’t half bad either as it depicts the actual route in real time image.

I thought this was funny and interesting, I have never seen a game that has even asked me to wait so politely ^-^, only the Japanese.

Pen Spinning-Japanese Style
I spin my pen too but like a NORMAL PERSON lol. These guys are crazy and yet I am envious as this will certainly gain me some points with the ladies lol, plus its something to do when I’m bored. I found this vid while I was browsing through Kirainet.

Gahhhhh…..New Header
I spent about four to five hours on making my new header…mostly erasing the subtitles and minuscule background on the character and filling in what was erased with the original to the best of my abilities. I took the images on the header from episodes I have from my collection and boy was it a pain just to find the right image lol. Then with photoshop I spend the painful task of erasing and filling in the original colors, raw episodes would have eliminated that but I like using photoshop so I decided to do it the harder way rather than downloading the raws^-^. The easy part was deciding where to put the characters and making the background. It was kind of fun making the header so I might change my header each month.

(Speaking in the deep movie intro guy voice) When fandom goes too far, there is bound to be parodies. In a world where Osaka dreams, bad stuff goes down. Evil flying stuffed animals rain down on the Earth with only a wispy girl, stretchy boy, an iron boy, and a stuffed lion that can stop it. (Back to regular voice) This is an Azumanga parody I noticed on JapanSugoi so I thought I would show it. This was pretty hilarious and it has rpg aspects which I love ^-^.
