The word of the year for 2009 is….Travel. The reason for it is the amount of traveling that Tomoyo and I did this past year. It’s also shaping out to be this year too lol. I’ll be on a plane in about 7 hours to go to Japan ^^;;. I’ll post while I’m there though. Got a new and lightweight laptop to use when I’m there ^^;;.

Hello and welcome to Chibified. This is the first “official” post for this blog. If you’re confused by what I said earlier, let me explain. You may have noticed posts that date back to 2007, the reason is all the posts that I, AS, have started since then and have imported onto this blog. I was first using blogspot under the blog name, AnimeSugoiDesuNe. Then I moved to AnimeSugoi with help from Maestro, who I have much thanks for helping me the whole time I was on AnimeBlogger.
Now that a little history is out of the way, let me introduce myself. I am known by the name “AS,” which I originally derived from taking the first letter from “Anime and Sugoi.” As I mentioned earlier, I have been blogging since 2007. As you can tell from my old blog names, my blog’s were focused on anime. If you look at the past posts you will see posts on Japan, technology, food, cosplay, games, and more which primarily focus around Japanese culture. I also post about trips that I’ve been on including the next few posts which will focus on my trip to Japan this summer with Tomoyo.
Speaking of Tomoyo, she and I will be co-bloggers.
Tomoyo here. We’re not sure how often we’ll do joint posts such as this one, but when we do, I’ll always post in pink. This is not to conform to the stereotype of girl = pink, I really do love pink. XD I also watch anime, but my focus here will be more on lolita fashion with a sprinkle of food photography (okay this might be a lot — I like taking pictures of my food) and dolls.
I’ve had personal blogs in the past, where I wrote for myself, so this will be a new experience for me, to write for an audience. Yoroshiku onegai shimasu.
Over 10,000 spams has been blocked from entering my blog posts, muhahaha xD. Thank you Akismet for protecting my blog ^^. I do run into some spam now and then, though when I do it’s spam that’s been questioned and needs to be moderated 
. I get some pretty weird spam, mostly of an “unethical and immoral nature” . Now only if I had 10,000+ comments xD.
I love Hina and I know many of you do as well ^^, it has nothing to do with the post lol.
I know there are commenter’s out there who needed me to repeatedly moderate your comments which can be quite frustrating. So I am happy to say it shouldn’t happen anymore, well not as much anyways lol. Although it’s not quite proven, I believe that the problem was my spam karma plugin that has many restrictions on who can and can’t comment. Initially it worked out great and all the spam was eaten with no one except new commenter’s possibly needed to be moderated. But it shouldn’t happen anymore, for I’m going to rely on Akismet to protect me from spam. I came to the conclusion that spam karma was the problem because after I deactivated it and used Akismet, R.O.’s latest comment went through without me needing to moderate. So happy days are upon this blog with comments that can go through with no problem, hopefully ^^.

It’s almost been a year since I started AnimeSugoi, when I moved from my original blog, Animesugoidesune on blogspot to AnimeBlogger. I would like to thank many people for helping me make it this far. First of all, thank you to M12 the daring, who was the 1000th commenter ^^. I have recently installed a new plugin called math spam protection that allows only those who answer the math question to comment. I was wondering if this plugin was placed properly on the site, the spam protector should be below the “Leave a reply” line and above the name you register on the site. There is a space where you can answer the question on the left and a math problem on the right. I tried the plugin myself by logging out of my admin account and testing it, the result is I could leave a comment, the test comment is seen in the comment section of this post. Please try to leave a comment, if you can, as it will confirm that the plugin works.Obviously if it doesn’t work you can’t leave a comment telling me it doesn’t work lol. If you can’t see the spam protection or it doesn’t seem to work, please contact me through email, my email address is raving63@yahoo.com

Thank you very much to D_Blade and to all those who commented on this blog as well as you readers out there. It has been really great getting to post about my thoughts on anime and reading your thoughts on my thoughts through comments lol. Thank you again to all those who read and comment on this blog.
If you periodically visit my site, you will notice slight changes here and there. I recently added a teaser to my posts so readers will have a glimpse at the post and if they deem it to be interesting they click on the link to continue. I am also playing around with wordpress as I am new to coding and will need a bit more time before I am satisfied with my site. If you have any tips to sites I can visit on coding with wordpress besides the wordpress site and the theme creator, Sadish, site, I would be glad to look it up. I am currently working on adding RSS Feeds, changing the colors for text/links, and a easy way to edit the color/look of the background. There is a RSS feed for my site now that you can use under Meta on the sidebar and currently the RSS link on the top of the page, though I am thinking of taking that off. Thanks for understanding.
