As the more frequent reader’s know, Tomoyo and I seem to love our food which I can’t deny lol. Food is part of our lives, as it is to everyone else, whether it’s the toast that’s in your mouth as you run out the door in the morning, eating ramen for dinner, or snacking on some onigiri and pocky. You can’t avoid it and it can’t avoid you. So it’s always great to find two interests that merge together to be enjoyed at the same time. In this case, it’s reading Hell’s Kitchen by Nishimura Mitsuru, 西村ミツル, and Amashi Gumi, 天道グミ.

I think I turned over to a new phase in my life…either that or I am just getting used to a existing adjustment.
Nothing too big but I think I prefer to read manga than watch manga.
Although it’s not “big,” I do have a huge amount of hard drive space (on my external) with anime in it. Though to be honest it’s mostly anime I have already watched but I believe the portion of “anime to watch” will be growing more and more with time.
As many of you may know, Tomoyo and I like to take pictures of food and post them for your pleasure, just always make sure you eat before you look at them lol.
But have you ever read a manga about food itself? There are actually a few mangas out there where the story revolves around food. This manga review will focus on curry, one of my favorite foods xD.
Japan is a pretty awesome place. I’m sure many of you feel the same way about it. But there are a few things about Japan that will make you think “uguu~.” For me, I haven’t found such a thing on all my trips to Japan except this past trip. You may find it funny but for me it was Narita Airport.
Franken Fran (フランケン・ふらん) is a manga made by Katsuhisa Kigitsu starting on September 2006. It’s a story about a cute girl called Fran Madaraki who seems like your regular stitched up girl with metal bolts in her head but underneath that cute smile is a genius surgeon with skills that are matched by none other than her creator, Dr. Madaraki.
As there is surgery in this manga, there is bound to be blood. Not only is there blood but gore as well as this is also a horror manga that show’s disturbing images of monsters and crazy things that result from Fran’s surgery. Also note, as surgery is involved, there are very detailed images of internal organs that are disturbing but incredible to look at for the detail of work put into them. As such, this manga isn’t for everyone due to the extremely graphic nature of it. I honestly wanted to stop reading it at some points as it got too detailed and gory for me in certain scenes but it kept drawing me in and I kept reading.
I’ll do a quick recap of the first chapter that will involve commentary about certain points that I have found throughout the chapters that I have read.
Note: Certain images are disturbing and you should not read on if you do not like gore, horror, dismemberment, and falling eyeballs. Though I have pixelated the gorier part of this chapter.
Usui Yoshito (臼井儀人) is the creator of the popular Japanese animation Crayon Shin-chan. He went missing over a week ago and was recently found dead at the bottom of a cliff at Mount Arafune. It is believed Usui had fallen off the cliff on his own due to the lack of a fence along the path. An autopsy is currently being done after he was airlifted away to determine why he had fallen off the cliff.

CHIIII (Quote Chi from Chobits, say it in a high girls voice). Here is my review on the manga, Chobits. This was an intersting manga that didn’t exactly fall into line with all other mangas, only to be expected from the creators of Chobits and many other popular anime/manga, CLAMP.
This time it’s going to be a manga review. I read certain manga that I believe is better than the anime series. This includes the manga review of .Hack//Legend of the Twilight. The manga is about a brother and sister named Shugo and Rena who play a MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online RolePlaying Game) together with characters of the legendary players Kite and Blackrose of the game “The World.”
Here is another anime I recommend. The plot is basically another good guys v.s. bad guys to save the world kind of thing. What I really like about this anime is the character designs, its practically random with every episode. You have talking globs, some weird insect/dog/fish kind of animal with a unicorn horn nose, talking penguins that saypoyo, demons, trolls, and much more.
