We started off this morning with breakfast at Goofy’s Kitchen. We ate here once our last trip, but it was super early in the morning and we both felt that perhaps our bodies weren’t really awake yet because we couldn’t eat that much. So we gave it another chance.
A ceiling full of umbrella’s at the entrance way of Goofy’s Kitchen.
We started the day off fairly early at 8:00 AM. We were awake early enough that I had time for a loot pic.
The bacon wallet and eye rings.
Around 10 AM, we walked from Fairfield Inn all the way to Enterprise on Katella Avenue to pick up our rental car. It took awhile since the car they were giving us had no gas in it so we had to wait until they filled it up. When we finally got the car, we took it back to the hotel and checked out of Fairfield Inn. Then we dropped AS’s brother off at his dorm and finally on our way. Read more...
Day 3 was another slow, slow day, but I had not planned for it to be that slow.
We were greeted by long lines from both parks even though it was a weekday morning and the early crowds should’ve gone in already. Apparently the computer system was down! Which meant slow moving lines to get inside. I really thought I had written down the wrong opening time at first.
We split up at that point. AS’s brother and I went to get FP for Screamin’, not realizing that when the computer system is down, it also means no fastpass! Ugh, what a horrible thing to discover after walking all the way there.
Makes me a little happy that I went to order food =P
AS went to order us breakfast at White Water Snacks in the Grand Californian. We had never eaten breakfast at White Water Snacks, so we thought we’d give it a try this trip.
American Breakfast – with eggs, smoked bacon, red bliss potatoes and toast
We wound up waking up a little later than planned. At the time AS’ uncle dropped us off at the Fairfield Inn, we were actually supposed to be meeting my friends by the entrance of Disneyland. Oops.
Our room was ready so we dropped our stuff off first then rushed over to the parks. This is our first time staying at Fairfield Inn and it’s pretty nice. The walk isn’t as bad as I expected.
Seems much farther on google maps xD.
Half of our group was there with us that morning, the other half had gone to a My Little Pony event last night and weren’t coming until later since they didn’t get home until late.
AS went to get Space Mountain fastpasses for everyone and we walked down Main Street to the Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe, taking a detour into Candy Palace first. Both places were under renovation when we were there in November so I was eager to get a glimpse of both. Everyone was a little hungry, so we stopped for breakfast at the Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe.
Of course, I HAD to get the Mickey-Shaped Chocolate Tart. I’ve been reading reviews since the day they opened and had the list of must-eat’s prepared. Yum!
Saturday, May 5
We arrived in LA at 5:00 AM. The flight got in a little early, which we actually didn’t want since we didn’t want to wake up AS’ family who were picking us up! Luckily, his aunt had actually woken up early that day and we made our way to the pick up area and waited maybe 20 minutes before she got there and took us to her house.
I conked out right after we got there. I can never sleep on planes. AS woke me up around 9:00 AM so we could get going on our food crawl. His aunt and a cousin elected to join us.
Last year, a restaurant that specialized in steamed soup dumplings (aka xiao long bao or xlb for short) opened in our area, but they were expensive and I didn’t really have another restaurant to compare it to, so I really wanted to try it while we were in LA since restaurants that serve xlb are so plentiful in comparison. XLB crawls are quite popular, so it was easy to research which restaurants were the best.
This is a trip post when I went to Japan with my family. Read more...
Back in September of last year, AS and I finally made our way to the Japanese buddhist temple shown in the backdrop of two photoshoots, Visiting the Hiiragi Twins and Jealousy Amongst Nendos And The Need For Melon-Pan, as well as Photoshoot Omake.
We knew that it was a far drive, so we decided to make a day of it and eat and explore the area since we hardly head in that direction.

This was our last day in Japan and we wanted to leave with a bang.
Unfortunately we started with a small pop lol. We got up later than what we wanted and there was a reason we wanted to get up early. To eat at Tsukiji First Market. This was going to be the first time for the both of us to visit Tsukiji. It’s suggested to go very early in the morning, to not only to watch the tuna auction but also to not have to wait in line for the more popular sushi restaurants. Read more...
Since we’ve been to Disneyland in Tokyo in the previous year, we needed to only go twice this time and spent the rest of the time going around Tokyo. But two days at Disneyland really wore us out xD. We slept in after waking up at 6 the last two days and headed out around 9 to do some shopping. Specifically, anime shopping xD. Read more...
